Originally from the Bay Area, Nicole moved to Southern Oregon a few years back. She made the switch from teaching to cannabis when she knew she could help others in this industry, too. She fell in love with the industry when she started helping others heal from pains and anxieties along with guiding first-timers into what could potentially help them also. Victor lived in the Bay Area most of his life until moving to Southern Oregon about 10 years ago. Victor has always loved the cannabis industry and back in August landed his Budtender position at Rogue Valley Cannabis, Central Point. LUCAS
Lucas, originally from the Washington, D.C. area, moved to the Rogue Valley four-years ago to attend Southern Oregon University. While studying environmental science, Lucas became interested in working in the cannabis industry. After working on a farm and gaining some experience as a budtender elsewhere, he eventually landed a budtender position at Rogue Valley Cannabis. Originally from Northern California, Takiya found herself in the Rogue Valley this past July ready to start a new adventure! Liz grew up in rural California and has lived in Ashland for 10 years. She attended SOU, gaining a bachelor’s in journalism. After graduating in 2012, she worked in computer repair and then decided it was time to move on. She took a leap of faith and got into the cannabis industry! She started her journey as a joint roller but knew she wanted to become a budtender. RVC had always been her dispensary of choice, and she felt like working there would be perfect for her, and so did we! I had one customer come in who had a pretty painful chronic illness, and I helped her pick out a strain of CBD flower. She came back told me that the CBD had alleviated all of the joint pain that had been bothering her! I definitely love being able to help people sort through all of our products to find the one that’s really going to help them.

Josh was born in California but has spent most of his life in the Rogue Valley. Surrounded by the cannabis industry, he naturally gravitated toward becoming a budtender! RVC was one of the first dispensaries he started going to and after deciding to apply, Josh has proudly been with us for the past 2 years. He is currently in school to become a software engineer and hopes to one day combine his degree with the cannabis industry. Having lived between the Rogue Valley and Phoenix Arizona, Tyler has found himself settled back into the area! Initially going to school for culinary arts, Tyler worked in several kitchen settings and realized that while his passion was there for food, he wanted to be something much more involved with the customer instead of behind the scenes. He left the world of food and became a budtender in Arizona. This is where he found his work to be truly rewarding and fulfilling! After moving back over to the Rogue area, he knew he wanted to jump right back into the cannabis industry. Tyler’s passion and connection with the patients have set him apart. Hmmm, for a single experience I would have to say when I got to help this younger medical patient. I was basically given the opportunity to open up his whole world to cannabis. It was his first time using for epilepsy and we went down his journey together as he continued to come in. We both learned so much from each other and it was so rewarding to become involved in some one else’s path to trying to heal themselves.

Caleb has always called Southern Oregon his home! After graduating high school, Caleb began to pursue a degree in software engineering. His roommate, an employee of Rogue Valley Cannabis, came home and asked if he would be interested in potentially working with the company. Being a regular consumer of cannabis, he thought this could be a really great to have while he continued going to school. After a quick interview, Caleb was hired onto the team. He has taken on the role as a bud tender and found a passion in helping patients and customers alike. MOST MEMORABLE RVC EXPERIENCE?
Is it a cop out to say all of it? Haha, I’ve never worked at a place where I’ve gotten the chance to become so close to all of the customers and my co-workers. It’s just been so unique. If I had to choose, I would say it was the first time I really helped a patient who genuinely needed pain relief. I sold her a topical and a couple weeks later she came back and thanked me so much. It was unbelievably rewarding.

The Marion berry Wyld Gummies! First time I tried them I ate all 10 dummies because they were so good. Needless to say, I learned my lesson and slept for about 11 hours haha, Wyld definitely provides a fantastic product.

Having resided most recently in Austin, Texas for the past 13 years, Uriah has found himself in the beautiful Rogue Valley. With a background in horticulture, Uriah was offered a job in Ashland as an assistant grower. After taking up that opportunity and having a successful season, he found another opportunity with Rogue Valley Cannabis! Uriah has always had a knack for growing, and here at RVC he has grown in a much different way. He has found a passion for the medicinal benefits of cannabis and is fascinated with the new research supporting the growth and use of this incredible plant. Working with RVC has broadened his perspective into bridging the gap between horticulture and the service side of the industry. He hopes to one day have his own nursery and permaculture farm to further the relationship between plants and people. ASHLEY, FEBRUARY
After living in Indiana for 20 years and having her own CBD company, Ashley decided she was ready to travel to become a part of the cannabis industry! Along with owning her own company, she was a virtual assistant and helped organize the Canna Grow Expo in San Diego. It was then when she realized that is what she really wanted to be doing; helping others in their journey to health through cannabis. She and her fiancé sold everything and moved to Northern California! After a short month there, they found themselves in the Rogue Valley. Having landed in Ashland, Ashley started to explore a bit and found herself at RVC. Initially hired as a joint roller, Ashley has moved her way up to budtender! HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH RVC AND WHICH STORE ARE YOU AT?
I’ve been there since November and I just recently moved over to the Ashland location!
FAVORITE WAY TO ENJOY CANNABIS?
Definitely a bowl. I love breaking up flower because you get this really intimate moment of feeling and smelling the plant. We did also recently got an E-nail so I’m a bit spoiled on dabs right now

MOST MEMORABLE RVC EXPERIENCE?
Really the entire experience has been a trip for me. I moved here to solely be a part of the cannabis industry and initially got a job as a pre roller. I got bumped to the front desk, and I’m now a budtender! The customers are my most memorable experience thus far. A man came in with a brain injury and I chatted with him every visit. One day he looked at me and told me he hasn’t felt that good in so long and that is what I am in this industry for; to really see the healing power of cannabis. Being a part of people’s journeys has been the most rewarding and humbling experience.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE EDIBLE ON THE SHELF?
Definitely going to have to say the chocolate cake ball by LB’s.

OG Kush, or anything crossed with OG no doubt. I love the happy giggely uplifting high it gives me!

Coming to Oregon from California in 2004, Andy has been a Southern Oregonian for the last 15 years! With a love for entertainment and production, Andy found himself as a production assistant for the local news channel here in Medford. After finding himself to be a regular cannabis consumer, he decided he wanted to get his hands dirty in the industry. RVC had just opened up, and after a great interview, Andy joined the team! Being here from the start, we have watched Andy grow not only as a bud tender, but as an individual. I’ve been with RVC since October 2015, and I am mostly at the central point store. I’ve pretty much been here since we opened!
FAVORITE WAY TO ENJOY CANNABIS?
Definitely dabbing. ‘Less is more’ is very true when it comes to dabbing; you use a lot less, but it’ll take you a lot further.

MOST MEMORABLE RVC EXPERIENCE?
The patients, by far. Watching some of these people over the course of my time here has been incredible. I have seen people return back to a quality of life they never thought they would and have actually been thanked for being a part of that journey. I feel like it’s been one of the most powerful aspects of this career.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE EDIBLE ON THE SHELF?
The WYLD gummies are probably one of my favorites. The marionberry ones have the perfect body high, and you can tell they use awesome product. I can also really appreciate the consistent dosing. I’m never surprised when I eat them, even when it’s a different batch!
WHAT IS YOUR ALL TIME FAVORITE STRAIN?
Baby Stewie! I’ve never had something that stinks like that flower, and the body high combined with the head high is absolutely perfect.
FAVORITE MUNCHIE?
Chex Mix Muddy Buddies for sure. They’re crunchy and sweet and I can’t get enough of them whether I’ve smoked or not.

Step Brothers is always a go to. You can pop it in whenever and it’s always guaranteed to make me laugh.

George Carlin; he was one of my favorite comedians and he definitely smoked weed. I not only appreciated him for his comedy, I respected his activism and outspokenness when it came to social issues.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT WORKING WITH RVC?
The people. I have some of the best co-workers who I now consider some of my best friends. Our communication and intuitiveness really sets us apart from other dispensaries. We also have a very diversified knowledge base when any given crew is on. Whether you need help with dabs, tinctures, edibles or flower, someone is always there to step in with the best suggestions, which is why I think we all compliment each other really well. We continuously learn from each other and it’s really shown as we have grown in staff since I started here.

From being born in Puerto Rico, and raised for a bit of her life in New York City and California, Tisha came to call Southern Oregon home in 2004. Her entrance into the cannabis industry was actually from her own health journey. Diagnosed with a rare blood disorder, Tisha found herself on many different medications. A client of hers first introduced her to CBD and tinctures, and through this woman’s help and knowledge Tisha pulled herself from every western medicine. Learning how to cure herself with cannabis occurred at the time where there was such a stigma in the medical community for such self treatment. This experience however opened the door for her to want to learn more. Tisha’s goal is to heal and help all of the people that she can, but most importantly, her mother. She hopes to continue her growth with RVC as much as possible and has an incredible drive to do just that. Her passion with customers and for cannabis is why we have chosen her as our Budtender of the Month!

I had a mom come in looking for RSO for her son. She had a terrible experience at another dispensary and almost chose to give up, but she came to us and our service alone completely changed her mind. She and her son now come in almost every week and we have the opportunity to see living proof of cannabis being a medical miracle.
WHAT IS YOUR ALL TIME FAVORITE STRAIN?
Space Queen for sure! This was the first strain I learned on the shelf and when I tried it, it was like I had never smoked!This is easily the most uplifting sativa I have ever had. I was giggly and it was just a ‘wow’ experience for me. Space queen is my girl – anything with it and I am in!
FAVORITE MUNCHIE?
Sixlets! They are the old school little round chocolate balls and they are my absolute favorite. There’s nothing more satisfying than just popping them in one by one and they’re the best candy when you’re on the go!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE?
The Linguine Incident – I’m a David Bowie girl for life. The Let’s Dance album was the first one my grandmother ever gave to me and I was changed ever since!
IF YOU COULD ENJOY ONE JOINT WITH ANY CELEBRITY WHO WOULD IT BE?
Lucille Ball, hands down. She was one of the first female comedians out there and she would never let a man tell her no. She curated her own studies and shows; everything she got a ‘no’ to she went out and did. I feel like her and I are so alike in personality and she just did everything so incredibly well.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT WORKING WITH RVC?
The amount of growth they have allowed me to have. I went in there with very low self esteem and now I hold my head up higher than I ever have. RVC really follows the mantra that if you want to achieve it they’re going to help you achieve it, and if you don’t know how, they’re going to show you. It has been life changing and I feel so amazing to be a part of such an incredible business.
Garrett grew up in the San Fernando Valley and he moved to Southern Oregon for a change of pace. Garrett first got into the industry right after his college graduation! Garett extracted in Portland for a couple of months before moving back to Southern Oregon. Garett began to frequent RVC and knew he wanted to be a part of the team. He has the ambition to grow so much more with RVC and the industry which is why he is our Budtender of the Month!

Getting to help a mother find a product that was going to be used to help her son with tumors. It was an emotional and deeply touching moment to see how much cannabis really impacts the lives of those in need. It truly is a medicine, and I am so grateful to be a part of helping others.
WHAT IS YOUR ALL TIME FAVORITE STRAIN?
Confidential Cheese because it only takes about two hits until you find yourself completely asleep! I love to relax in the evening so, this super strong and amazing strain is by far my favorite, Not to mention, iI love cheese and having that in the name is a bonus haha.

Ryan is an Oregon native who came to the Medford area about 2 years ago. Since having started with us at Rogue Valley Cannabis, Ryan has been a star budtender. WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING AT RVC?
I enjoy being able to work with all of the different types of customers the most. Of all the customer service jobs I have worked in general, this industry provides the happiest clientele. How can anyone be mad when they leave a dispensary?
HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR DAYS OFF?
I make my days as relaxing as possible. I spend a lot of time watching Youtube, playing video games and smoking a lot of dabs. Always gotta be up on your game as a budtender!

The atmosphere. I genuinely love every one of my co workers and I find it to be a very welcoming and fun environment. I also love talking with customers, it’s actually one of my favorite parts. Being able to see that I can help someone is such a reward.

I hang out with my son who is almost two and my husband. We do a lot of family stuff and spend time at a lot of parks, my kid definitely loves parks haha.
